Time-Critical Engine Transport

Marinair recently demonstrated its expertise in time-sensitive logistics by successfully managing the urgent transportation of two aircraft gas turbine engines from Atlanta, USA, to Istanbul, Turkey. The operation was critical: the engines, both V2500-A5 models with 31,600 pounds of thrust, were needed to replace damaged units, with a strict delivery deadline of November 30, 2024.

Each engine weighed 12,000 lbs and measured 170 inches (L) x 96 inches (W) x 92 inches (H)—a heavy, oversized, and high-value shipment requiring specialized handling and coordination.
The engines were securely collected in Atlanta and loaded onto Turkish Airlines flight TK6275 to Chicago O’Hare on November 28, followed by connecting flight TK6276 to Istanbul on November 29. The Marinair team oversaw every step, ensuring compliance with international air freight standards, proper packaging, and close coordination with the airline for a smooth transfer.
Upon arrival in Istanbul, the engines were unloaded and delivered on time, fulfilling the urgent requirement with zero delays. The operation was executed with precision and professionalism, reaffirming Marinair’s ability to deliver under pressure and manage complex, high-value cargo with confidence.

This project reflects Marinair’s logistical strength and deep commitment to reliability, responsiveness, and performance in critical supply chain moments. At Marinair, we believe that moving cargo means more than transportation — it means being trusted when it matters most.
