Golden October rings in year-end business

WCA member Marinair Cargo Services, whose headquarters are in the Greek port of Piraeus, is optimistic for the forthcoming peak logistics season.

Founder and CEO Pavlos Poutos recently told the ITJ that he expects larger volumes of goods to arrive by air and sea from India and the Far East by the end of the year, with on forwarding to Europe then of the order.

Marinair Cargo Services was established in Greece in 2007; it runs in India, Hong Kong and the Netherlands. The company offers road feeder services as well as railway connections to and from most European markets.
Consolidated road transport is an important mainstay of its business activities in Europe.

60% of our volumes are generated by airfreight, which goes mainly via Amsterdam, 25% comes from sea freight mainly through Piraeus as well as Rotterdam, and approximately 15% is contributed by truck services,” as Poutos explained.
