Marinair Cargo Services successfully completed a project cargo sea freight Greece–Australia, managing the transport of a 14,760 kg stone-built Orthodox Christian church from Thessaloniki to Sydney.
This project cargo operation required specialized engineering, handling, and coordination to ensure maximum safety and compliance throughout the sea transport process. The unique structure — built entirely from stone — demanded exceptional care during lifting, securing, and shipping.
The shipment was executed using a 20’ Flat Rack container, a solution often chosen for project cargo sea freight Greece–Australia and other oversized or heavy shipments. Before dispatch, Marinair’s technical team conducted a detailed inspection and loading study, confirming the balance, center of gravity, and securing points.
